This made me laugh think:
Have you ever made a New Year’s Resolution that you kept?
Why yes – one year I resolved to continue being the same person I always was because I was pretty happy with myself ‘as is’ (I was marked down for clearance). After a successful year later, I decided to ditch that resolution and resolved to be horrid at repetitive tasks such as ‘cleaning’, ‘filing’ ‘organizing’ – and have had amazing results. I can not organize for WEEKS on end. I also resolved to never scrapbook…that’s been pretty successful as well.
Done & done…. Happy 2013 people! May you revel in your own perfect selves just the way you are – except, you – you need some major overhaul….get to it.

I’m so good at not scrapbooking too! Thanks for the laugh this morning and Happy 2013!
We are sisters in scrapbook avoidence!
I didn’t count yesterday, as I was still off and in lazy mode. I shall start being a good 2013er today.
I bet you were tops yesterday too!
I just hope she kept her top, yesterday.
I will hope so too….
haha! I resolved never to scrapbook long ago. It’s one I’ve been able to stick with!
See – resolutions can be sucess!
I’ve resolved never to skydive. And so far, I’ve managed to avoid it?
SUCESS! CELEBRATE!
I know it’s something to celebrate every day!
Da!
Happy 2013 to you too, great job.:)
Yen-Yen
Aww – thanks….Happy 2013!
We think alike. My idea of organization is to throw the receipts in the “keep” pile instead of throwing them out. That’s organization. It’s as far as I’ll go. I know where things are amidst the clutter–I think. Why make a resolution to mess with my system. I’ll never figure out another system.
EXACTLY!~ I figure anything on the top or front of the pile (if it’s in a cabinet) is “new” and stuff on the bottom or in the back is “old” — bam! done…
The irony is that I’m a librarian….and everyone I know is a far better organzier than I…my specialty is that I can find anything in any kind of mess….
I took upon me the resolution to drink more alcohol in 2013, but after new year’s eve, I don’t think I can manage that…
Well, you gave it the ol’ college try – and what more can we ask of humans?
Well, the battle is lost, but the war goes on until Dec 31st, 2013, and I intend to fight
Da!
Haha! So far I’ve been pretty good at not scrapbooking too! I think I will join you and resolve not to scarpbook this year.
…..why do I want to scrapbook so bad now? Oh no! It’s like forbidden fruit!
Like forbidden fruit? You mean plums or prunes?
Exactly like that
hee hee… KEEP AWAY FROM SCRAPBOOKING! IT WILL ONLY LEAD TO TOILETPAPER ROLL DECORATING….
Haha!
But I love toilet paper roll decorating! It’s my only creative outlet
I can make a mean bookmark (in seconds FLAT) with any cardboard paper roll…
Now that is some real talent!
Well, I am endorsed by Martha Stewart.
I’m so bad ass that I didn’t even have to resolve not to scrapbook. I just don’t do it without resolving not to do it. Be jealous.
Very jealous – I thought you might be one of those ‘go to convention’ scrapbookers…
No, I’m very non-conventional. Or is it unconventional? Whichever it is..I’m not.
ir-conventional…in 2013 you can make up 140 twittery words…
Oh, there’s a limit? Damn…I hate capping creativity.
Think of the CRAZY if we just let random people make up 141 words….
That’s true. I never considered the anarchy that would spawn from such nonsense.
We know we’d be fine making up 141+ words, but those others? Who can vouch for them!
‘Tis true. Some of those people create train wrecks just making up 140 words. Armageddon!
See – you know it….
This made me laugh
I like you “as is”!!
And, who needs a scrapbook when you can keep a blog?
You are so WISE in the ways of the scrapworld, Kylie!
True.
I do keep a “scrap-floor.”
Those are my type of resolutions. Well done.
Spanks!
An article of clothing I refuse to wear (well, when it comes with an ‘X’)…
I won’t spanx ya in spandex…
Pingback: Daily Prompt: Resolved « Inspire the Idea
In response to a writing prompt from a newly developing WordPress blog called, “Today’s Authors”, I make a list of “My Top 10 Anti-Resolutions for 2013″, with all the things I’m not going to do in the coming year. It was fun. You should take a look at it. It comes complete with pictures.
That I shall!!
Ruta, I am into organizing and good at letting go of things in order to get “new” stuff (usually old furniture that I refurbish), but the scrap booking thing — nah. I like the resolution to just accept your glorious self. I’m going with that one, chickie and from what I know about you, I think it’d be perfect for you as well.
. Happy 2013.
Thanks Brigitte! Please organize me!
Whatever I can do…my friend…whatever you need. Maybe I’ll write a post about it. hmmm
You made me laugh! Have a great new years!
Thanks – you too!!
You are welcome! http://www.segmation.wordpress.com

I like your approach…
Danke! I’m tired of feeling like I’m not quite ‘good enough’ – and need constant resolutions to change to be ‘better’ –
Yeah. This fight with oneself can’t really make any one happier which (for me) should be the goal: happier, not necessarily better.
Right ON
Of course I don’t scrapbook … nor deal with resolutions. BTW – Happy New Year.
You’re going strong for 2013! Happy New Year to you as well ~
Well said!!!!!! I’ve resolved to remove myself from these unfriendly surroundings (crappy neighbors and all that) and to turn enough of a profit from my blog to need tax forms… Lofty I know.
How do you turn ANY profit from your blog??? DO TELL!!!!
It’s a process… and it requires readers. I have LOTS of “visitors” — people that Google stuff and wind up on my page, get their recipe, and then bounce. I gain some subscribers that way, but not as many as when my posts were automatically submitted via WordPress’ RSS feed (reader). I need more regulars… like any good food place would
But I do make a bit. There’s a tab on my page- Blog Sweet Stuff- that explains it in a little more depth.
I’ll check it out…
