Thank You All

This is a fast post – I wanted to thank everyone that has been faithfully following me – including you, spambot! I reached 2,000 followers this morning and am a little ok, MUCH thrilled.

I have very mushy feelings for you all, especially you, Hope Tours & Safaris Africa.

All of you have always been kind and supportive of whatever comes out of my mind and goes into the intergooglenetwebs.

But on a serious note – I am truly grateful to all of you who read my posts and to those that read and comment.  You all make my life a little brighter.

Love & Mush & Stuff,

Rutabaga ~

Now enjoy some Frank Zappa’a “Call Any Vegetable”  because Vegetables ‘keep you regular and they’re real good for ya’ (so says Frank). And he sings about Rutabagas…because, well, who wouldn’t?

Woot! Congratulations, Denise! This is so exciting!

  2. Wow. 2000. That’s amazing. How long have you been doing this?

  3. electronicbaglady says:

    well done! and deserved 🙂

  4. 2K. Geeze. That’s nice. I think I might have finally broken 100. But 2K! Maybe someday. A guy can dream, can’t he?

    • Ya know the irony of it is that I still get the same number of hits. Mostly it’s from the “reader’s advisory” they have when you go to your reader or the FP page.. “if you like Blah – you should follow Ick” – but I do appreciate the core group that reads my stuff – I really do!

      • This is a hell of a place to look for validation but we all do it. It’s probably not healthy because it can all dry up in a day but what can we do? We need the eggs. I actually don’t know how many followers I have, but I know it’s not many. But my comment section can become quite lively sometimes, so I’ve got that going for me.

        • Right? I wrote a post called “Validate My Parking and Tell Me I’m Good” in the beginning of my sojourn into WP- I desperately wanted to be Freshly Pressed – but, like you, I enjoy the comment section and that really does allow for those that really want to engage to do so. I’m kind of a stats geek so I like looking at the numbers – even when they depress me 🙂

        • For a long time I was desperate to be Freshly Pressed. It never happened and now I’ve kind of moved on. I don’t really care anymore. I’m usually not this healthy. Typically, I’d have spent years beating myself up over it.

I’ve always said…the posts are nice, but the party is in the comment sections.

        • Ha ha – “I’m usually not this healthy” – it’s a surprise when we have a ‘good’ reaction, eh? And it feels so weird…

I agree – the comments are where it is AT.

And I agree you have built an AMAZING group of followers TOO – in they are all such GREAT PEOPLE ! (just like YOU!!!) What I love is that WYSIWYG…..and it is the AUTHENTIC “YOU” in all your posts……and that also includes all that mushy kind of stuff as well! GOOD FOR YOU!!! I am truly happy for you! 🙂

  9. Congratulations to you and spambots everywhere!
In college, I had an office mate – known to me to this day only as Officemate Jackson – who decided to hold a party with a rutabaga bob in place of an apple bob. It was then that he and I found out that rutabagas don’t float.
